In this amazing video from Aliah you will find very challenging and energetic choreography in Iraqi style. This style is very emotional and powerful and includes a lot of hairwork – circles, figure eights and swings from side to side. Moreover, performing choreography in this style dancer has several tasks: to show the plasticity of her body, the dance technique and emotions (not only the mimic, but emotions in every movement – either it is elegant wrist movement or powerful hair swing).
Additionally, before you begin to learn this choreography, Aliah offers you to make short, but a powerful warm-up with her and this video starts with it.
There is a part in this Iraqi choreography where the dancer makes her movements on the floor. Obviosuly, this is a technically difficult part, so if you can’t repeat it all (due to physical restrictions or for any other reason), Aliah created some easier options of some movements for you to choose from.
Equally important is not to forget to make some cooldown exercises for your neck after your practice with calm and smooth round movements with your head.
Also song lyrics translation is provided to help you understand the meaning of the words and connect them with the movements.
In this video you will find:
- Warm-up session in the beginning of video.
- Detailed explanation of each part of choreography.
- Each part danced by count by face and by back.
- Each part danced with music by face and by back.
- Dance of full choreography with music by face and by back.
